Guess what time it is!!!???
Ipsy time!!!:)

If you don't know what Ipsy is, it's a $10 a month subscription plan. It's filled with makeup, makeup tools, skin care products and much more:) You get 4-5 deluxe samples to full size products in each bag.
For $10 a month, It's a steal!
Here is what I received for April! Let's break it down!!

Every month in addition to your products, you receive a small makeup bag. This months theme was "Beauty Rocks"!

"What songs are you singing to today? Life is a dance floor, so why not live it up, sing out loud, and shake them hips?! This month, we're celebrating our unique beauty to the sound of tunes and festivals that fill the spring air. So, whether you're chilling in a campground or spinning in a ballroom, all of your April "Beauty Rocks!" products will help your lovely look become a hit!"

This bag is a dark purple with a vinyl record player on it! So chic'!

First thing I pulled out was this brush from Coastal Scents. I was surprised to see how many people were disappointed with this item. For me, one can never have too many brushes. This is a medium sized eyeshadow brush and perfect for packing on any shadow! This retails for $2.49! I've heard so much about their products, but have yet to purchase anything from them. I immediately noticed how dense it was and it's also incredibly soft. Overall, I give this brush a 10/10. It definitely does its job on packing on shadows. I might need to quickly use my discount!;) Let me know what are some of your favorites from them.

Who the heck wouldn't want this in their bag!! Urban Decay has been a long time favorite brand of mine! Their quality is always outstanding and so worth the price. Here I received a sample sized eyeliner in the shade, "Black Velvet". I own perversion and zero and have yet to try this. Fist time trying this, I LOVED it! One little thing though, it seemed a little on the dry side. Not sure if it was just my sample or this product is like that. Regardless, it will be put to use:) And for the finishing feel of this, it was like a matte finish.

Next, is a sample from dr. brandt. I haven't tried this before and I've only heard little about them. So, I was open to trying this out. I have sensitive skin on my face so I have to be careful trying new  products out. To my surprise, my face and I both enjoyed this item.

As for texture, it was pretty gritty. I felt like I was rubbing sand all over my face, haha. Once I had washed it all off my face felt soft but slightly red. (which can probably come from any gritty scrub)
I'll give this product one more try, but personally I don't think I need this. It might be just a tad too harsh for my face.  I use an all natural exfoliant, it's a lot let harsh and it's a liquid so all I do is rub it over my face on a tissue. Let me know what you think about this.

Here I have a Starlooks lip liner in, "Naked". When I first saw this in my Glam Room I thought, "ugh. I'm never going to use that" only because I'm not a huge lip liner fan. When I got it though and swatched it I decided I really liked it, haha:p
Instead of lining my lips with this I decided to use this as an all over lip color before my lipstick. I actually loved the way that it looked. The quality of this liner is awesome! It's so smooth going over the lips and the payoff is bright! This retails for $14 on their site. More than than the bag just by itself! The color is neutral and can be used for any skin tone. Hmmm.... I might need to go check out their site.. ;)

Last, I received an eyeshadow from Elizabeth Mott in the shade, "Champagne". I LOVE this!!!! I'm all for nude shades, because it's mostly what I wear and especially in the Summer I like wearing this kind of shade. I love the sheen finish to this and the pigmentation is outstanding!!! There's hardly any fallout and with a primer this lasted me from mid day till night time with no problem.
Never heard or tried this before, but I like it and I'm glad I had a chance to try it.

For my finishing look I used the eyeshadow as an all over shade, Urban Decay's liner for a nice thin line and the lip liner as an all over lip color.
I love this simple, but chic' look. It's good for any day or even a simple night look.
I hope that if you receive Ipsy that you enjoyed your bag this month just as much as I did:)

IT'S HERE!!! I GOT MY HANDS ON ONE!!

"It's a color addict's ultimate fix: a mind-blowing palette filled with 10 of the brightest, most amazing shades you’ve ever laid eyes on—including eight never-before-seen shades you won't find anywhere else."

Ta da!!!! The Urban Decay Electric Palette!!!!!
When this was announced I just knew how much I was going to love it!!
There was a part of me that didn't want it just because I've always been a simple "keep it neutral" girl. I'm not big into bright colors, but I've started to branch out of my comfort zone lately and I've been all over this palette.

Before we get into this palette take note that Slowburn, Savage, Jilted and Urban have not been FDA approved.
Now that being said, that usually means that they aren't deemed safe around the immediate eye area, but not necessarily unsafe to use. In fact I use three of those colors in a look that will be shown here. Without further ado, let's dive in this AMAZING palette for a closer look!:)

Let's all just take a second to admire these gorgeous shades!!!
Aren't they freaking amazing?! Even if you're not all that into color, you must admit they're awesome...right? There are ten pressed pigments in this palette; two are from previous palettes and the other eight are brand new electric colors!

Let me just say that these colors are HIGHLY pigmented and should be placed after a nice layer of primer to prevent any staining, but who doesn't love a super pigmented eye color!

This palette comes with a double ended brush. The bristles are a bright purple, except mine are dirty..haha:) The bristles are super soft, dense and cruelty free! On the left side is a compact brush made to build up any color and easily blends out any harsh lines and on the right side is a small brush I use for defining or smudging. Urban Decay has never let me down when it comes to their brushes.

 From left to right, this is the top row;

  • Revolt; is a shade from a previous palette, "Anarchy Face Case". I never bought that palette so I'm thrilled it was in this and I must say, it fits in nicely!! This is a shimmer packed, highly pigmented silver. I didn't experience much fall out with this.
  • Gonzo; this is a pretty ocean blue! This color is on my faves out of all.
  • Slowburn; a beautiful coral/red shade. This is one pigmented color! I am amazed by this shade more than any. It really is a stand out color and good for any skin tone.
  • Savage; a super cool bright pink! I don't think I've come across a pink like this before. I mean, look at it! It's sooo appealing and the the pigment is outstanding!
  • Fringe; a metallic teal and this is actually really similar to their eyeliner in "deep end".

  •  Chaos; an eye popping cobalt blue<3 This color was previously released in the first "Vice Palette" and if you buy this and don't own the Vice palette you'll be pleasantly surprised with this color. It's simply electric! It's a matte color with slight fall out. This is one of those stackable colors you can build up to your desire.
  • Jilted; a blue based dark pink with a sheen finish. The blue based color almost gives off a subtle purple.
  • Urban; a heavy purple ready for any colored smokey look.
  • Freak; is a simply gorgeous light green. Easter is coming up and this will make an awesome pair with any pastel color!
  • Thrash; a lime green. I see it more on the yellow side than green, but definitely not a strong yellow. This looks gorgeous on mid lid and on the lower lash line.

Here is the fist look I created. If you follow me on Facebook you have already seen my purple brow. I am LOVING a colored brow!!! I have never gone outside from the normal neutral/nude look so, for me to do this has been a new experience and let me say; I LOVE it!!:)

Starting off with the brow, I applied a generous amount of Urban, but before applying I did apply a primer. This color is slightly staining if no primer is applied.
Moving on, I started with Urban Decay's Anti Aging primer potion from lash line to brow bone and on the lower lash line.
The first shadow I picked up was Savage. Using a crease brush I brushed this along the crease making sure to blend out well. Second, I used Jilted with a clean smaller crease brush and went in the same area and blended out making sure to keep the first color noticeable. Third, I went in with Urban with a pencil brush and put it in the main crease and blended softly keeping this only in a small but blended line. For the inner corner I used Thrash. For mid lid I applied a light hand of Freak and on the outer corner I took very small amounts of Fringe and Chaos.
With a clean small blending brush, I blended out any harsh lines to make the lid look like each color went into the next.
On the lower lash line, I used Gonzo and applied a slight hint of Fringe at the end and made sure to blend those evenly as well.
After a quick swipe of black liner and some light mascara, (I figured I wanted the colors to pop so I didn't apply falsies) I came out with the super cool, fun and colorful look!!:) Let me know what you think in the comments down below!

This is the second look I came up with.
Not a fan of a ton of color, but still want a pop? I believe this is the look for you!

If you want to tone this down a notch, you can always go with a natural brow, but I wanted to keep this fun and kept my purple brow from before.

As usual, I started with the primer potion all over the lid and lower lash line.
This look couldn't be more simple!:)

I took Chaos and went over close the lash line, like you would with any normal liner. I winged in out pretty long as you can see. Haha;)
Then, I went in with Urban and smudged that on my lower lash line and pulled it out to blend in slightly with the wing.
Taking Chaos again, I smudged it over Urban to connect it from the top to the wing to the bottom. Last, with a normal black liner I lined my lash line keeping it short making sure not to cover the wing and with a black pencil liner I covered the water line.
Thus, creating this look!:) I LOVE THIS!!!

My final thoughts on this palette?
I am obsessed with it!!!
The color is amazing and the pay off is incredible!!
My only dislike in this, is all the blue. There are three different blues and blue based colors. Having said that, I still LOVE this. Spring time is among us and Summer soon approaches. This palette is an over-all success in my eyes and you can best believe I'll be creating more looks with this!
