Again, this limited edition BIRCHBOX retails for $18, not bad if you enjoy what you see. You can get it here!

Let's start with the first thing I saw; Boire' Heating Mask:)

I was actually pretty intrigued when I saw this. It's not that I'm not a "mask person", but I just never seem to pick them up. I know they're good for you, but my face is okay for the most part. The only problem I have, aside from the occasional break-out, is pores-_- They've taken over my face...
So, you can imagine how happy I was to see something that is supposed to reduce the amount of them.
This product is a heating mask with natural charcoal; it's said to open pores and draw out any dirt and oil.

When they say "heating mask", they meant it. Haha. You're supposed to activate it by splashing your face with water, before applying, thus activating the heat. So, as you can see in my picture, I splashed my face and applied my mask with both my index finger and middle. I started to massage this all over my face and boy, was this sure warm. I felt like someone covered my face with a steam towel. (which is actually a cheaper way to open pores and draw out impurities) I massaged my face for one minute as instructed and rinsed off. I'm not sure if any of you have used the Clean&Clear morning wash, but it has the same cooling effect once washed off. It felt like my face was covered in peppermint. Haha, but I loved the feeling and my face looked slightly brighter. As for my pores, it's definitely going to take more than just a one time use, but I'm LOVING this product. This might actually be something I repurchase in the future!:)

Next thing I reached for was this bottle from John Freida. It is a "Frizz Ease Nourishing Oil Elixir" also containing Argan oil. As any hair oil, this product is supposed to hydrate and add shine to hair.

The consistency is quite light and there's a slight fragrance.

My only issue with this? I already have oily hair:(
I wash my hair every other two days and by the second day I feel like I've been working under cars..Haha.. but seriously.. I don't think I'll be using it.. Maybe I'll give it away with my first giveaway? Would any of you like that?
I only pumped it once to show you what it looks like.. Let me know:) As for the product, I'm sure it would be great.

I came across this Salley Hansen nail polish. My first thought, this color doesn't look good on my skin tone. I'm not that into bright coral/mango on my nails, but I had to try it out for you guys:) This is two coats and it dried pleasantly quick. Though, I liked the texture of this and its fast drying formula; the color just doesn't suit me. I'm more of a black nail polish girl myself;)
This shade itself is called, "Kook a Mango"

Unfortunately, another miss for me. I'm not saying it's the product because it's me. I HATE gloss. I don't like the texture and I hate that my hair constantly gets stuck in it.. :/ Anyone else feel the same?
This is actually though, a nice sheer pink with a little too much glitter if you ask me. Above, is a photo of me wearing it and it kind of comes off a little metallic almost. Do you think so? Anyway, the gloss was light feeling and didn't need a ton to apply equally. Oh well:)

Another lip product, but this is more of a balm. This is the shade, "Sheer Pink" and when applied there's a faint color; as it states.
I always tend to smell things first, haha. Anyone else do this too?! Anyway, this actually smells like sunblock... what a turnoff:(
I liked the color and the texture, but I don't want something smelling like that on my lips. I would have shown a picture of the payoff, but it wouldn't show on camera. Maybe some of you would like it, who knows. For now, this little guy will just be set aside..

Mascara!!!!:) I love it.. It's okay to be addicted to mascara right? Hah. Cause I am. Moving on, I was happy to pull this out next. I'm a COVERGIRL fan, always have been and probably always will be. I can say I don't think I've EVER bought a double ended mascara. Probably cause I see a use for those. I already have naturally long lashes and I wear glasses, so extending them more would cause them to hit my lens.

The brush on side one (right side) is a much fatter brush covered in small bristles. I love this side! Side one is meant to volumize the lashes, which in fact it did. It extended my lashes enough to make them seem naturally longer and the mascara seemed to have applied evenly through the lashes too. Always a plus!:)
When I got to using side two, meant to intensify and darken the lashes for a seal coat, but all it seemed to do was clump them together:( Maybe I applied it too soon after side one? I haven't given up on this yet!

Last, is another sample from COVERGIRL:) This is a creamy eyeshadow base or, if you're a person who doesn't do eyes; a simple dab of this across your lids will leave a pretty shine!:) On the right is what it looks like without blended and on the left is blended. It's a very sheen frost white with shimmer. Do I like this? I sure do. Though, I probably won't use this as a base, I'd use it as a brow bone highlight. The texture of this is super smooth and quite easily blended. Definitely a product you can build.

This concludes my blog for today<3

  1. I had the same clumping problem with the mascara :/ I love both sides on their own but I haven't been able to wear them together without awful clumps. If you figure out a way to fix it let me know!

  2. I actually tried it again a bit ago and what I did was run my lashes through a disposable lash brush. Just to help separate them while they were still wet. Seemed to solve my problem, but a little more work.
